About
Iain Grinbergs (he/they) is a professor, painter, and writer. He earned his Ph.D. in English from Florida State University.
He was a finalist in Black Lawrence Press’s Fall 2021 Black River Chapbook Competition, a semifinalist in Conduit Magazine’s 2022 Marystina Santiestevan First Book Prize, and a runner-up in the 2023 Tennessee Williams and New Orleans Literary Festival’s SAS Poetry Contest. His story “Bakewell Tarts” received a nomination for Best Small Fictions 2025.
His work appears in or is forthcoming from Sho Poetry Journal, South Florida Poetry Journal, Meridian, storySouth, ONE ART, Rogue Agent, Screen Door Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, Beaver Magazine, elsewhere: the prose poetry magazine, Jersey Devil Press, The Dewdrop, Hotch Potch, Ghost Parachute, FlashFlood, Wilderness House Literary Review, 50-Word Stories, The Pegasus Review: A Medical Literary Journal, and other journals.
