Iain Grinbergs (he/they) is a professor, painter, and writer. He earned his Ph.D. in English from Florida State University.

He was a finalist in Black Lawrence Press’s Fall 2021 Black River Chapbook Competition, a semifinalist in Conduit Magazine’s 2022 Marystina Santiestevan First Book Prize, and a runner-up in the 2023 Tennessee Williams and New Orleans Literary Festival’s SAS Poetry Contest. His story “Bakewell Tarts” received a nomination for Best Small Fictions 2025.

His work appears in or is forthcoming from Sho Poetry Journal, South Florida Poetry Journal, Meridian, storySouth, Rogue Agent, Screen Door Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, Beaver Magazine, elsewhere: the prose poetry magazine, Jersey Devil Press, The Dewdrop, Hotch Potch, Ghost Parachute, FlashFlood, Wilderness House Literary Review, 50-Word Stories, The Pegasus Review: A Medical Literary Journal, and other journals. His chapbook, Vanity Twist, is available from Bottlecap Press.
